Using fresh herbs is one of the easiest (and cheapest) ways to take a dish from basic to brilliant. But for the home cook, incorporating fresh herbs can be daunting and probably raises some questions, as previously noted. But, the United States Food and Drug Administration has not validated such claims and little to no scientific studies have been conducted to gauge the ability of the herbs to successfully treat or prevent any medical conditions.
